(Vitellaria Paradoxa)

Shea butter is extracted from the shea fruit, which grows in the western forest savannas of Ghana, Mali, Ivory Coast, Burkina Faso on the African continent. The trees can grow to heights of up to 65 ft. In the Mandinka language, its name means “life”.  Shea Butter is like food for the skin. It contains the vitamins A, E, and K, zinc, magnesium, potassium, oleic acid, and linoleic acid Omega 6.

This makes African Shea butter the perfect carrier for our organic infused oils because human cells are covered in lipids or fats. When the infused shea butter and the cell combine the nutrients from the Shea butter are absorbed by the cell and can then begin the healing process.

Baobab trees, often referred to as the “tree of life,” grow both in Africa and Asia. They are the largest and longest-living angiosperm (or flowering) trees today, with some individuals live close to 5,000 years. The baobab oil is extracted from the fruit seeds, by first being dried and stored for months and then cold-pressed. Baobab Oil has tremendous benefits for the skin due to its softening, healing, and regenerating properties. Baobab fruit has 7 to 10 times more Vitamin C than oranges, 30 times more fiber lettuce, 5 times more magnesium than avocados, 6 times more potassium bananas, and 2 times more calcium than cows milk.

(Cocos nucifera)

For thousands of years, Pacific Islanders have used coconut as their primary source of food and medicine, and as a result, have always been among the healthiest, longest-lived people in the world. Because they have maintained their traditional diets, they are known to be generally free of heart disease, diabetes, cancer and other degenerative conditions common in our western culture.

Once planted, a coconut tree can grow up to 100 feet tall, and yield thousands of coconuts and many thousands of liters of sap over its 70-100 year lifespan. More than just a sustainable food crop, every part of the coconut tree is useful to mankind including the roots, trunks, leaves, husks, fiber, fruit, water, sap, oil, milk and meat.

Coconut oil is high in healthy saturated fats that have different effects than most other fats in your diet. These fats can boost fat burning and provide your body and brain with quick energy. They also raise the good HDL cholesterol in your blood, which is linked to reduced heart disease risk.

(Cannabis Sativa)

Cannabaceae Hemp oil (hemp seed oil) Hemp is among the oldest industries on the planet. Records indicate that as far back as 6,000 BCE, hemp seeds and oil were used in food in ancient China. Hemp plants were also utilized as consumption, building materials, for clothing, and even shoes.

Hemp seed oil is obtained by cold pressing hemp seeds. The oil pressed from hemp seeds, in particular, is a rich source of polyunsaturated omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, which are essential for human health. Hemp contains over 25% high-quality protein with nearly 20 amino acids and nine essential amino acids. In every 30 grams (g) of seeds, or about 3 tablespoons, there are 9.46 g of protein. The oil from the hemp seed is highly nutritious and may be especially helpful for the skin. The vitamins and fatty acids in this oil may help keep the skin healthy and prevent breakouts. A 2014 study looking at the lipid profile of hemp seed oil found that it is rich in healthful oils and fatty acids. The abundance of fatty acids makes the oil an excellent choice for nourishing the skin and protecting it from inflammation, oxidation, and other causes of aging.

It lives on sandy or stony soil, very poor and does not need fertilizers, it also requires little water. it adapts to extreme conditions thanks to the very developed and deep roots and the waxy coating of the leaves. The main fact is that it lacks of glycerine which is a rarity in oils, for this reason, it is a liquid wax, despite being called an oil.It sets solid in cold temperatures. It absorbs easily because is very compatible with the skin, similar to the waxes found on human sebum. This plant was also known to the Aztecs who used it as food and oil, to treat skin diseases and wounds. They called it “Hohowi”. It is a natural SPF booster because of the stability of the molecules to UV rays. Jojoba oil naturally deters microbes, helping to prevent the growth of bacteria on the skin. (Gamma-tocopherol) γ-tocopherol

Vitamin E is a fat-soluble antioxidant that helps protect our cells from damage. This essential nutrient occurs naturally in many foods and is available as a dietary supplement. Our bodies store and use Vitamin E as needed and help with the support of the immune system, cell function, and skin health. Its main role is to act as an antioxidant, scavenging loose electrons—so-called “free radicals”—that can damage cells. It also enhances immune function and prevents clots from forming in heart arteries. Out of 8 compounds of Vitamin E, Alpha-tocopherol is the most active in humans.

(phylloquinone)

Vitamin K is an essential nutrient that helps your blood clot and your bones grow the way they should. It also help prevent the bone disease osteoporosis and protect you against heart disease. Vitamin K is found in green leafy vegetables such as broccoli and spinach, and in vegetable oils. Vitamin K prevents calcification of arteries and other soft tissue. Calcification of organs and other soft tissue is an adverse consequence of aging. Vitamin K may play a role in the regulation of blood sugar. The pancreas, which makes insulin, has the second-highest amount of vitamin K in the body. Vitamin K supplements improve bone health and reduce risk of bone fractures, particularly in postmenopausal women who are at risk for osteoporosis.

Vitamin K1, also called phylloquinone, is mostly found in plant foods like leafy green vegetables. It makes up about 75–90% of all vitamin K consumed by humans.Vitamin K2 is found in fermented foods and animal products, and is also produced by gut bacteria. It has several subtypes called menaquinones (MKs) that are named by the length of their side chain. They range from MK-4 to MK-13.
